Mission

The mission of B’nai Israel Sisterhood shall be to support the Congregation's schools and youth activities; to strengthen and unite the women of the synagogue and support them in efforts to understand and perpetuate Conservative/Masorti Judaism in the home, synagogue, and community; and to reinforce the bonds of the women of the synagogue with Israel and with Jews worldwide.

Joining

Whether you are joining for the first time, renewing your membership, or making a donation, you are supporting our commitments to Congregation B'nai Israel (CBI) as we have in the past.

Sisterhood's contributions to CBI include:

  • Contributing to free Chavaya education for children in grades K-2
  • Purchasing equipment and supplies for the synagogue kitchen upon request
  • Participating in Torah Fund to support the five seminaries of the Conservative/Masorti movement
  • Contributing to synagogue renovation and beautification

Sisterhood needs your help to maintain our activities for the future. Your dues support the efforts of Sisterhood as we contribute to B'nai Israel religious life, education, and social action in the Gainesville community.
